| Dear parents and students, |
| In the refreshing month of November, school life has been rich and fulfilling, with students having the chance almost every day to step out of the classroom and take part in a variety of exciting off-campus activities.
On Wednesday, 5th November, P6 students participated in the “How memory sticks 2.0” programme, exploring Hong Kong’s historical development through on-site visits. When the coach arrived at school, the students were brimming with excitement and wonder — this was not merely a field trip, but a learning experience that feel like going to the past. The first stop was Shui Tau Village in Kam Tin, Yuen Long, where they visited the Yi Tai Study Hall and Cheung Chun Yuen. Guided by the docent, they learned about the teaching methods and learning environment of traditional private village schools (sishu), which helped them truly appreciate how ample today’s educational resources are. After that, the group went to The Chinese University of Hong Kong to visit the Art Museum and University History Gallery. There, they admired the artistic beauty of Chinese calligraphy and the evolution of Chinese characters, better understanded the university’s history, and feel inspired about their own future paths to higher education.

| This November coincided with the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China being co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, with Hong Kong serving as one of the host cities. In line with the curriculum planning principles promoted by the Education Bureau—“organic integration”, “natural connection”, “diversified strategies”, “mutual co-ordination”, “learning within and beyond the classroom”, and “whole-school participation”. our school launched a cross-curricular thematic programme titled “Let me Support the National Games.” On the afternoon of Friday, 31st October, the Science Department arranged for students to visit the "National Development and Achievements Series – Approaching Perfection: The Intersection of Sports and Science" exhibition at the Science Museum, allowing them to learn about the country's advancements in sports technology and how it helps athletes achieve outstanding results. On the same morning, the English Department organized a Halloween event themed "Sporty Halloween," integrating sports elements into Halloween activities, enabling students to learn English in a fun atmosphere while also exercising. One of the most memorable events for teachers, students, and parents was the "Opening Ceremony" held on the morning of Friday, 7th November. This event, organized by the PE Department, aimed to express our support for the National Games, create a vibrant and healthy school atmosphere, and promote relationships between parents and students, as well as between teachers and students. That morning, all students and parents set off from the school for a morning run along the seaside park. The weather was pleasant, allowing everyone to run freely, and many parents expressed their anticipation for more similar events in the future.

| We sincerely thank the Hong Kong government and the Education Bureau for arranging the opportunity for students across Hong Kong to personally experience the exciting events of the National Games. We specifically chose to attend the rugby and basketball matches, with special significance for the rugby match as our school's alumnus, Chong Ka Yan, is a member of the Hong Kong team. On Wednesday, 12th November, we arranged three coaches for teachers, students, and parents to head to Kai Tak. Many students stepped foot in this modern venue for the first time and were amazed by its spectacular design, taking numerous photos to capture the moment, creating a lively atmosphere. Additionally, on Saturday, 15th November, we organized a group of parents, students, and teachers to go to Hong Kong Coliseum to cheer for the Hong Kong team during the basketball matches. At school, the Music Department taught the theme song of the National Games in classes and played it during lunch recess. The P1 students were particularly engaged, often gathering in front of the large screen to sing along together. The Library Department held a sports-themed book fair, while the PE Department arranged experiences in activities like wooden chess, cycling, and basketball shooting to encourage students to stay active. At the same time, the entire school participated in a countdown ceremony for the National Games, reminding students to cherish time and participate actively. This interdisciplinary learning experience not only allowed students to understand the National Games from historical, cultural, artistic, and sports perspectives but also enhanced their collaboration skills, critical thinking, and sense of national identity.

Not only did our students achieve outstanding results on the athletics field, but on Thursday, 20th November, our school's English choral speaking teams from both senior and junior levels participated in a competition at Yuen Long Theatre, winning fourth place and second place respectively, which uplifted the spirits of all teachers and students. On that morning, all teachers and students gathered in the hall to enjoy the preview performances of both teams, with the chairperson and vice-chairperson of the Parent-Teacher Association also present to show their support. Following the performances, we invited all the teacher to vote for the team that performed better, and ultimately, the junior team came out slightly ahead. We took this opportunity to explain to students the significance and importance of voting, and announced the results of the "The Award of the Politest Student" election simultaneously. This activity was conducted by the Guidance and Discipline Department during the break in the playground, where each student voted using heart-shaped stickers to choose their friendly representative. In the end, Li Man Kwan from class 1A was elected from the Key Stage 1 (KS1), while Akthtar Jannat Naveed from class 6A was selected from Key Stage 2 (KS2). Both activities fully demonstrated the importance of voting. At the end of the event, we played a relevant short video to reinforce the concepts learned and concluded with a group photo under the slogan "Join the Election Together We Create the Future."

In addition to the activities mentioned above, students from all levels also participated in various experiential learning opportunities, including a visit to the Space Museum, where they explored the mysteries of the universe through a dome cinema; engaging in volunteer services by visiting elderly homes to care for seniors; and junior students attending a Cantonese Opera Excerpts - School Performances by Hong Kong Performing Stage of Cantonese Opera at Yuen Long Theatre. At school, there were creative drama workshops conducted by Chung Ying Theatre Company troupe, health sticker workshops, and art creation sessions.
I would like to express my special gratitude to all the teachers for their professionalism and dedication. Beyond teaching, they have worked tirelessly to organize various activities and have participated in lesson observations in October and November. Despite the heavy workload, they have consistently given their best efforts. On 21st November, Mr. Lau Yin Sun received the "Hong Kong Physical Education Teacher Award 2025" which was truly well-deserved. On 20th November, Mr. Chung Sai Kit was invited to share his experiences in teaching Chinese to non-Chinese speaking students at the Kowloon Tong Education Bureau. Last year, because of the significant improvement in our non-Chinese speaking students' Chinese language skills, we were invited to share our different teaching methods and related arrangements. This reflects the recognition of our school’s achievements in this field by both the University of Hong Kong and the Education Bureau.

The activities in November were rich and diverse, and it is difficult to capture all of them, but each one reflects our school's educational philosophy of "experience-based" At the end of November, we will be conducting the Summative Assessment 1, and students from P2 to P6 will receive their report cards, while P1 will be assessed through a variety of methods to inform parents of their children's learning progress. We look forward to working alongside our students, continuing to implement genuine "experience-based" learning through diverse activities, and co-creating a vibrant school life.
