| 5月1日的勞動節為這個月份揭開了序幕 。事實上，距離暑假只剩兩個半月，轉眼間又完成一個學年了 。由於學校將於六月初進行最後一次總結性評估，因此校方特別安排了各式各樣的活動，讓學生透過「經歷為本」的學習模式，開心地吸收不同的知識 。在實踐教育局所提倡的十二種首要價值觀和態度時，學校竭力落實其口號的精神：「有機結合、自然聯繫、多元策略、互相配合、課堂內外、全校參與。」五月份的第二個星期日是母親節 。本校特意在5月4日的周會上舉行集會，並以「孝親」為主題 。集會一開始，鍾世傑主任展示了電影中各個超級英雄的照片，隨即令全場同學興奮歡呼 。鍾主任提問學生：「這些超級英雄擁有甚麼超能力來拯救世界？」同學們自然能一一精準回答 。接著，鍾主任提醒同學，在現實生活中，家中的父母其實都是「超級英雄」，而且他們也擁有不同的「超能力」。原來，所謂的「超能力」，是指父母對子女無微不至的關心、為他們準備膳食、帶他們到不同地方參觀，以及悉心解決他們在學習和生活上遇到的種種問題 。隨後，鍾主任引用了「黃香溫席」的故事，講解黃香如何貼心照顧父親 。在炎熱的夏天，黃香會用扇子將熱烘烘的席子和枕頭扇涼，才請父親就寢 ；在寒冷的冬天，他則會先鑽進父親的被窩，用自己的體溫驅散寒意，待被窩溫暖後，才請父親上床安睡。

| Labour Day on 1st May kicked off this month. In fact, there are only two and a half months left until the summer holiday, and another school academic year will be over in the blink of an eye. Since the school will hold the final assessments in early June, we have specially arranged various activities so that students can happily absorb different knowledge through an "experience-based" learning mode. When incorporating the twelve priority values and attitudes promoted by the Education Bureau into practice, the school makes every effort carry out the spirit of its slogan: "Organic combination, natural connection, diverse strategies, mutual cooperation, inside and outside the classroom, and whole-school participation." The second Sunday of May is Mother's Day. Our school specially held a gathering at the weekly assembly on 4th May, with "filial piety" as the theme. At the beginning of the gathering, Mr. Chung Sai Kit, the senior teacher, showed photos of various superheroes from movies, which immediately made all the students cheer with excitement. Mr. Chung asked the students, "What superpowers do these superheroes have to save the world?" The students were naturally able to answer each one accurately. Then, Mr. Chung reminded the students that in real life, parents at home are actually "superheroes," and they also have different "superpowers." It turns out that the so-called "superpowers" refer to parents' great care for their children, preparing meals for them, taking them to visit different places, and carefully solving the various problems they face in learning and life. Afterwards, Mr. Chung quoted the story of "Huang Xiang Warm the Bed" to explain how Huang Xiang cared for his father thoughtfully. In the hot summer, Huang Xiang would use a fan to cool down the hot sleeping mat and pillow before asking his father to go to sleep. In the cold winter, he would first get into his father's bed and use his body heat to drive away the cold, waiting until the bed was warm before asking his father to go to bed and sleep peacefully. |

| 集會最後課節以摺紙活動作總結，同學們需要用色紙摺出一個心形，並在上面寫下心底話送給爸爸或媽媽 。此外，這項活動還設有延伸環節 。在這一週的午息期間，訓輔組老師安排了攤位活動，讓學生繼續心形摺紙活動，寫下對父母的祝福並帶回家送給他們，部分作品亦在學校展出 。同時，在母親節前夕的午息時間，視藝科老師也舉辦了攤位活動，親自教授學生製作3D母親節卡送給媽媽，校方更為部分同學錄製了短片並上載至學校網頁，分享這份溫馨的謝意 。 |
| The final session of the gathering concluded with a paper folding activity, where students needed to fold a heart shape with colored paper and write down their inner thoughts on it to give to their fathers or mothers in addition, this activity also had an extension part. During recess this week, the discipline and counseling teachers arranged booth activities to let students continue the heart-shaped paper folding activity, write down their wishes to their parents, and take them home to give to them, with some works also displayed at school. At the same time, during the recess before Mother's Day, the visual arts teachers also held a booth activity to personally teach students to make 3D Mother's Day cards for their mothers. The school even recorded short videos for some students and put them on the school website to share this warm gratitude. |

| 5月9日（星期六）是一年一度的屯門區小學聯合英語活動（STEP）。當天早上八時正，老師與四年級同學們在學校集合出發，前往良景邨一所小學參與盛事 。雖然每年的活動模式大致相若，但由於每年均由四年級學生代表參加，因此對學生而言都是全新體驗；而主辦學校亦會別出心裁地注入新元素，令活動更具吸引力 。今年，本校在網上搶答遊戲中分別榮獲冠軍及季軍 。此外，在今年新增的集體誦讀項目中，我們更勇奪金獎 。在此衷心感謝老師們一直以來的悉心訓練，以及當天帶領學生參賽的辛勞付出 。我深信，這次活動定能有效提升學生學習英語的興趣 。 |
| Saturday, 9th May was the annual Tuen Mun District Primary Schools Joint English Activity Called Speaking Toward Excellent Program (STEP). At exactly eight o'clock that morning, teachers and Primary 4 students gathered at the school and set off to a primary school in Leung King Estate to take part in the grand event. Although the way the activity is run is largely similar every year, because it is attended by Primary 4 student representatives each year, it is a brand new experience for the students. The host school also specially added new elements to make the activity more attractive. This year, our school won the champion and second runner-up prizes respectively in the online quiz game. Furthermore, in the newly added group chanting event this year, we bravely captured the gold award. I would like to express my true thanks to the teachers for their careful training all along, as well as their hard work in leading the students to compete that day. I deeply believe that this activity will definitely and effectively increase students' interest in learning English. |

| 下學期的體藝活動目前已全面展開，項目涵蓋合唱團、童軍、滑板、AI特攻隊、體操、電子鼓及初小視藝等 。由於學期末將會舉行成果展，因此各個體藝團隊的老師正加緊為學生進行訓練，期望展現最佳成果 。與此同時，其他課外活動亦分別在放學後或星期六有序進行，當中包括排球、跆拳道、敲擊樂及劍擊等 。學校期盼能提供多元化的課外活動，讓學生在成長過程中多作嘗試，並在日後朝著自己熱愛的活動方向發展 。在體育課程方面，本學年我們亦融入了不同的體育活動供學生體驗，例如一年級的武術，以及五年級的劍球、欖球、匹克球及躲避盤等，讓學生發掘自己的興趣所在 。至於家長方面，我們也特別為大家安排了親子陶瓷班，希望能藉此機會促進親子關係，並讓家長加深對學校發展方向的認識，實在是一舉兩得 。 |
| The physical and art activities for the second term have now fully started, covering items like the choir, scouts, skateboarding, the AI special team, gymnastics, electronic drums, and junior primary visual arts. It is because an achievement show will be held at the end of the term, the teachers of the various physical and art teams are stepping up training for the students, hoping to show the best results. At the same time, other extracurricular activities are also happening in an orderly manner after school or on Saturdays, including volleyball, taekwondo, percussion, and fencing. The school hopes to provide many different extracurricular activities, allowing students to try more things as they grow up, and to move towards the activities they love in the future. In terms of the physical education classes, we have also added different sports activities for students to experience this school year, such as martial arts for Primary One, and kendama, rugby, pickleball, and dodgebee for Primary Five, allowing students to discover their interests. As for the parents, we have also specially arranged a parent-child pottery class for everyone, hoping to take this chance to improve parent-child relationships and let parents deepen their understanding of the school's development direction, which truly kills two birds with one stone. |

在這個五月，學校製作了一系列令同學們十分投入的遊戲卡 。相信大家都記得，大約在九十年代初期，香港十分流行「閃卡」，卡面上印有日本卡通人物或香港藝人等，深受大眾瘋狂搜集 。這次，負責圖書科的胡老師別具創意地製作了一系列校本遊戲卡，卡面主角包含了校長、所有老師、教職員及學生，當中更隱藏了一些精美的「閃卡」 。同學們為了收集這些遊戲卡，必須接受老師為他們度身訂造的挑戰，挑戰成功方可獲得。因此，現在午息時間，校園內隨處可見同學們忙於尋找不同老師接受挑戰的身影 。看見同學們如此投入，部分同學更特意購買小冊子將卡片好好保存，希望盡快集齊全套作珍藏之用，實在令人欣慰 。這項計劃甚至獲得了家長們的高度讚賞 。有見及此，學校將會著手製作全新一套的遊戲卡 。究竟這些遊戲卡為何具備如此引人入勝的魅力？原來是老師們運用了人工智能（AI）技術，為相片製作出別具一格的特殊效果，令同學們都渴望收集 。我非常欣賞同學們的積極投入，亦能互相尊重，以正確規矩的方法贏取遊戲卡 。老師們已陸續為大家準備了不同的新挑戰，同學們，你們準備好接受挑戰了嗎 ？ |
This May, the school produced a series of game cards that fully engaged the students. I believe everyone remembers that in the early 1990s, "flashcards" were very popular in Hong Kong, with Japanese cartoon characters or Hong Kong artists printed on the cards, and the public crazily collected them. This time, Ms. Wu, the teacher in charge of the library subject, creatively made a series of school-based game cards, and the main characters on the cards include the principal, all teachers, staff, and students, with some beautiful "flashcards" hidden inside. In order to collect these game cards, students must accept the challenges custom-made for them by the teachers, and they can only get them if they successfully pass the challenge. Therefore, during recess time now, you can see students busy looking for different teachers to accept challenges everywhere on campus. Seeing the students so involved, with some students even specially buying small booklets to keep the cards safe, hoping to collect the full set as soon as possible for their collection, is truly comforting. This plan even won high praise from the parents. Seeing this, the school will start making a brand new set of game cards. Why exactly do these game cards have such charming appeal? It turns out that the teachers used artificial intelligence (AI) technology to create special and unique effects for the photos, making the students eager to collect them. I highly appreciate the students' active involvement, and that they can respect each other and win the game cards in a proper and polite way. The teachers have gradually prepared different new challenges for everyone, so students, are you ready to accept the challenges? |
