各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

At the beginning of the new year, everything is renewed. I sincerely wish all teachers, students, and parents progress in the new year and good health. May students achieve success in their studies and may staff and parents enjoy smooth sailing in all matters.

This month features two major events, namely the open day on Saturday, 10th January and the parents’ day and prize presentation ceremony on 17th January. On open day, the campus was beautifully decorated. Sports-themed booth games set up in the covered playground. The weather was also sunny with a touch of chill, making it perfect for outdoor activities.

Indoors, two handicraft activities were held in classrooms: the first was badge-making, where participants could colour existing cartoon character designs on paper, or use their own drawings to create unique designs. The second activity was zipper bag decoration, students can select English letters and patterns to place on a small zipper bag, which teachers then pressed with an iron to imprint the chosen designs and letters. The results were beautiful and distinctive, with many people queuing to make them, and even teachers eagerly joined in.

1月17日（星期六）的家長日暨頒獎禮，我們特意將頒獎禮安排於中段舉行，讓家長在領取成績表、面見班主任之餘，亦能親睹子女榮獲嘉許的時刻。場面溫馨熱鬧，不僅得獎家庭欣喜，其他家長亦踴躍參與。典禮尾聲，我們頒發「第32屆家長也敬師運動」證書予老師，弘揚尊師重道之美德，更拍下大合照。此外，藉着家長、教師、學生齊聚的機會，家教會主席亦為學校頒發2024/2025年度「樂繫校園」人際連繫大獎，原來我們已經連續六年獲得獎項。讓大家明白家校合作的重要性。

On Saturday, 17th January, parents’ day and Prize Presentation Ceremony was held. We deliberately arranged the prize presentation in the middle of the event, so that parents, while collecting report cards and meeting class teachers, could also witness the moment their children received recognition. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with not only the award-winning families rejoicing but other parents also actively participating. At the end of the ceremony, certificates for the “32nd Parents-Also-Appreciate-Teachers (PAAT) Drive” were awarded to teachers, promoting the virtue of respecting teachers, followed by a group photo. In addition, taking advantage of the gathering of parents, teachers, and students, the PTA Chairperson presented the school with the 2024/2025 “Hi-Five Student Engagement Award” Interpersonal Connection Award. It turns out we have already won this award for six consecutive years, helping everyone understand the importance of home-school cooperation.

為點燃同學的學習熱忱，學校持續開設多元課程，讓知識不再侷限於課堂講授。三年級同學學習傳統書法，感受筆墨韻味；四至五年級則參與語常會英文戲劇教育，在角色扮演中自信表達。新一期體藝課程亦已展開，初小與高年級同學分別接觸新課程，展現自律與投入，令人欣慰。1月27日（星期二），「陽光笑容流動教室」來到校園，帶領同學認識牙齒保健的重要。近日學校亦安排牙科檢查，期盼孩子從小珍視牙齒健康，因為牙齒陪伴我們的一生。此外，學校亦關注同學身心發展，舉辦講座提醒學生避免沉迷上網，並於午息時由數學科舉行魔力橋活動，吸引師生同樂。一月中旬的「爸媽講故事」計劃，邀請家長們走入早讀課堂，為孩子朗讀故事，畫面溫馨動人，為校園增添了滿滿的愛與陪伴。

To ignite students’ enthusiasm for learning, the school continues to offer diverse courses, so that knowledge is no longer confined to classroom lectures. P3 students learned traditional calligraphy, experiencing the charm of brush and ink; P4 and P5 students participated in the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research’s English drama Education, confidently expressing themselves through role-play. A new round of arts and sports courses has also begun, with junior and senior primary students engaging in different programs, showing discipline and dedication, which is gratifying. On Tuesday, 27th January, the “Bright Smiles Mobile Classroom” visited the school, teaching students the importance of dental care. Recently, the school also arranged School Dental Care Service, hoping children will value dental health from a young age, as teeth accompany us throughout our lives. Furthermore, the school cares about students’ physical and mental development, organizing talks to remind them to avoid internet addiction, and hosting a “Rummikub” activity during lunch break by the Mathematics Department, attracting both teachers and students to join in the fun. In mid-January, the “Parents Tell Stories” program invited parents into morning reading classes to read stories to children, creating warm and touching scenes.

1月24日（星期六）起，學校一連四個週六舉行男子排球訓練，備戰屯門區排球比賽。本來擔心同學們怕痛及難控制排球，結果同學們都能初步掌握發球與動作。訓練長達六小時，大家卻不言辛苦，休息時分享飲品水果，午後更活力充沛地嘗試其他球類，展現了青春的韌勁與朝氣。

Starting Saturday, 24th January, the school held boys’ volleyball training for four consecutive Saturdays, preparing for the Tuen Mun District Volleyball Competition. Initially, we were concerns that students might fear pain or difficulty controlling the ball, but they quickly grasped serving and basic movements. The training lasted six hours, yet no one complained of fatigue. During breaks, they shared drinks and fruit, and in the afternoon, they energetically tried other ball games, showcasing youthful resilience and vitality.

1月26日（星期一）下午二時，教育局督學及兒童體能智力測驗中心的醫護人員蒞臨本校參觀。是次訪校可視為去年的延續篇——早於上年度5月，同屬教育部門的另一組別人員，以及新加坡教育局官員亦曾到訪，而當時的參觀成果理想，因此本校再次獲邀接待來賓。此行的重點在於了解本校於小一銜接及支援學習多樣性方面的措施與實踐。 嘉賓抵達後，首先在禮堂欣賞初小學生的英詩集誦演出。孩子們略帶緊張，卻表現真誠可愛。表演結束後，校長向學生詢問比賽結果，他們先大聲答道：「輸了！」隨即又興奮補充：「但我們得了亞軍！」逗得全場笑聲與掌聲不斷，氣氛輕鬆愉快。

On Monday, 26th January, Education Bureau inspectors and medical staff from the Child Assessment Centers visited the school at 2 p.m. This visit was a continuation of last year’s May event, when officials from the Education Bureau, but different groups, along with Singapore Education Officials, came to observe. That visit was successful, so we were invited again. This time, the focus was on understanding support measures for Primary One transition and learning diversity. Upon arrival, guests first enjoyed a performance of choral speaking by junior primary students in the hall. Though slightly nervous, the students were sincere and endearing. After the performance, the principal asked about the competition results, and the students loudly replied, “We lost!” before cheerfully adding, “We got second place!”—eliciting applause and laughter from the guests.

隨後，嘉賓進行校園導覽並觀摩課堂，最後回到禮堂與教師、家長及學生進行交流。訪校行程圓滿結束後，嘉賓對本校的教學安排以及關顧文化均表達高度讚賞。教育局亦邀請本校日後與他區分享經驗，為此次參訪增添了更深遠的意義。

Afterwards, the program included a school tour, classroom observations, and finally a return to the hall for exchanges among guests, teachers, parents, and students. At the conclusion, guests expressed deep appreciation for our teaching arrangements and caring culture. The Education Bureau even invited us to share our experiences with other districts, giving this visit greater significance.

在這個充滿活力的一月份裡，學校舉辦了多項活動，讓同學們在學習與成長的旅程中，深切感受到家長、老師與社區滿滿的支持與關懷。展望未來，我們將繼續攜手並肩，為學生創造更豐富的學習體驗與更溫暖的校園環境。謹祝大家在新的一年裡，心想事成、平安喜樂，並在彼此的鼓勵與陪伴下，一同步向更美好的明天。

In this vibrant January, the school organized many activities, allowing students to learn and grow while also feeling the support and care of parents, teachers, and the community. Looking ahead, we will continue working hand in hand to create richer learning experiences and a warm campus environment for students. May everyone in the new year see their wishes fulfilled, enjoy peace and joy, and stride forward together.
